Road closings

Richland County is updating its road and bridge closings quite often. The following is the most current run of closings, which will run in the Daily News until the flood crisis has passed.
The Daily News Web site will be updated with new information as it becomes available throughout the day and will have the most current listing.
Closed Richland County roads
County Road 22 between sections 17 and 20 in Fairmount South Township, east of N.D. 127.
Richland Road 22 is closed between sections 21 and 28 west of Interstate 29 in Greendale township.
Richland Road 3 south of N.D. 11 between sections 35 and 36 in Moran Township.
Richland Road 1 is closed for 1.5 miles north of Colfax between sections 19 and 20 in Colfax West Township.
Richland Road 81 south of N.D. 13 between sections 29 and 30 in Center West Township.
Richland Road 22 between sections 21 and 23 in Greendale Township is closed.
Richland Road 15 at Brandenburg Township, south of Great Bend, between sections 22 and 23 in Brandenburg Township remains closed;
Center West and Summit West Township-Center section 31 and Summit section 6.
Closed bridges
Bridge 119-24.1 between section 31 in Ibsen Township and section 6 of Mooreton Township;
bridge 118-23 between section 25 in Antelope Township and section 30 in Ibsen Township;
bridge 124-15,1 between section 12 and 13 in Abercrombie Township;
bridge 124-24 between section 36 in Ibsen Township and section 2 in Mooreton Township;
bridge 128-27 between section 15 and 22 in Center Township;
bridge 125-16 between section 19 and 30 in Abercrombie Township;
bridge 124-12.2 between sections 36 and 31 in Eagle Township South;
bridge 122-8.2 between sections 3 and 10 in Colfax Township;
bridge 124-12 between section 36 in Eagle township and section 1 in Abercrombie Township;
bridge 128-21 between sections 14 and 15 in Dwight Township;
bridge 127-20 between sections 9 and 10 in Dwight Township;
bridge No. 126-31 between section 6 and 7, and bridge No. 127-31 between section 5 and 8 in Summit Township;
bridge 128-27 in Center Township between sections 15 and 22 is closed;
bridge 125-16 between sections 19 and 30 in Abercrombie Township;
bridge 122-8.2 between sections 3 and 10 in Colfax Township; and
The southbound lane at mile marker 13 on Interstate 29 is open.
The grade at Richland County 18 at mile marker eight has been raised. Traffic is still reduced and the area is being monitored.
There is an area flood warning for small streams in Richland County until the water recedes.
Wilkin County
Road closings in Wilkin County include:
County Road 167 and 120th Street at Atherton Township;
Wilkin Road 24 east of U.S. Highway 75;
460th Street east of U.S. 75, one mile west of Campbell, Minn.;
230th Avenue, one-quarter mile north of 188;
260th Avenue a half mile north of 26;
310th Avenue three-quarter mile north of 30;
280th Avenue just south of Wilkin County State Aid Highway 8;
In Nilsen Township — 230th Avenue from Minnesota 210 to No. 18, 240th Avenue from Highway 210 to No. 18, 310th Street from 260th Avenue to 270th Avenue;
Meadows Township — 240th Avenue from Highway 18 to Highway 20, 250th Avenue from 18 north two miles, 230th Street from 260th Avenue two miles east to No. 15;
180th Street west on County Road 11 for one mile.
The entire mile west of Wilkin County 167 on 120th Street;
Wilkin County 4 three miles east of Campbell, Minn.;
half a mile east on Wilkin County 52 on 120th Street;
the Kent, Minn., underpass;
Minnesota 210 two miles west of Foxhome, Minn.;
303 Street at Lawndale;
Minnesota 210 at 290th Avenue; and
Minnesota 55 by the John Miller residence, and half mile south of 230th Avenue on the east side of Wilkin County 9.
The intersection of 270th Street and 250th Avenue is also flooded but passable.
The following roads have been flagged due to having water on the roadways:
270th Street and 250th Avenue in Meadows Township;
120th Street from County Road 167 west one mile;
County Road 88 east of 52;
120th Street one mile east of Highway 9;
240th Avenue, 1 1/2 miles north of 30;
Intersection of 270th Street and 250th Avenue;
180th Street and 200th Avenue between 210th Avenue;
260th Street from Highway 9 east for three miles;
Wilkin County State Aid Highway 11, one-quarter mile south of 182;
Wilkin Road 176, two miles south of 182;
Wilkin Road 152 and Wilkin County State Aid Highway 4 southwest of Campbell.
A detour around the Kent underpass is set up.
Red River Valley emergency managers have been keeping an eye on the weather with precipitation expected over the next couple of days, but they expect no major flooding problems. Wednesday’s forecast from the National Weather Service projected minor flooding in Fargo and moderate flooding in Wahpeton during the next week.
