Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 9 at Peace Lutheran Church, Barney, N.D., with the Rev. Morris Stephens officiating.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral at the church.

Emilie was born Aug. 18, 1914, at Great Bend, N.D., to John and Lena (Gehler) Stoltenow. She married Ralph Keenan on June 12, 1935. The couple farmed outside of Wyndmere where they raised their son, Wayne. They retired and moved into Wyndmere in 1978. Ralph preceded her in death Oct. 2, 2000. Emilie continued living in Wyndmere until moving to Dakota Estates in Lidgerwood, N.D., and in March 2005 became a resident at Oakes Manor in Oakes.
Emilie was a lifetime member of Peace Lutheran Church in Barney. She enjoyed living on the farm and working with Ralph, caring for her chickens and loved selling eggs. She also loved being a member of the Peace Lutheran Church LWML, doing sewing and quilting for the missions and visiting with family and friends.
Emilie is survived by: her daughter-in-law, Betty Keenan, Banning, Calif.; her three grandchildren, Roxann (Herb) Schumacher, Lancaster, Calif., Ralph Keenan, Yuma, Ariz., Timothy Keenan, Wyndmere; her great-grandchildren, Mike Schumacher, Jason, Wayne and Katelyn Keenan, and Jamie, Nichole and Tyler Keenan; several great-great-grandchildren; her brother, Arthur (Inez) Stoltenow, Litchfield, Minn.; her sister, Elaine Hentz, Hankinson, N.D.; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, John and Lena Stoltenow; her husband, Ralph Keenan; her son, Wayne Keenan; her great-grandson, Chris Schumacher; her six brothers, Gilbert, Herb, Reinhold, Elmer, Theodore and Ernst Stoltenow; her three sisters, Viola Klawitter, Clara Hoyem and Doris Gutzmer.
