In 30 days, or by Oct. 31, 2008, if Meide has not sold his business to a qualified waste hauler, the issue will be mute and Meide can no longer possess the license.
Meide was threatened with license expulsion in August due to using a building he owns as a transfer station, in which a license from the city and state is required.

"In essence, that's a transfer station," Kessel said.
In the beginning, Meide's license was to be taken away by Sept. 12, but Meide appealed to Kessel and was to appear in front of the city council Tuesday.
Meide contacted Kessel and withdrew his appeal late Tuesday afternoon. At that time, he requested his license be extended as he was in the process of selling his business and wants to also allow his customers to seek other business.
Although the council does not have jurisdiction in revoking Meide's license, they will be the granting authority when a new waste hauler applies for their license.
