Marjorie Tucker, 84

Marjorie Tucker, 84, Martinez, Calif., died Wednesday morning, Nov. 12, 2008, at the Bruns House, Hospice of the East Bay, Alamo, Calif. She was surrounded by her seven children and several grandchildren when the Lord took her home.

Private family prayer service was held.

Arrangements were made by the Neptune Society, Concord, Calif.

Marjorie Gladys Klink was born at home on Jan. 6, 1924, in Fargo, N.D., the only child born to Grover C. Klink and Marie Tiedeman Klink. She was baptized Feb. 17, 1924, at Gol Lutheran Church, Kindred, N.D. As a young child, she moved to live on the Tiedeman family farm in Kindred and always shared stories with her family about her happy childhood memories and being spoiled by her many aunts and uncles.

Marge was confirmed on July 3, 1938, in the Evangelical Lutheran Church, Kindred, and in 1942 she graduated from Kindred High School and was salutatorian of her class. Marge then completed Interstate Business College and worked briefly at the Fargo Laundry, Fargo.

On Nov. 22, 1947, she was united in marriage to Patrick Kenneth Tucker. Marge then worked at Herbst Department Store, Fargo, as a bookkeeper for many years and later at Medallion Kitchens, Fergus Falls, Minn. After her husband's death May 1999, she went to work for AARP, Fargo. All total, Marge worked in various office positions for 45 years.

She had been residing with her daughter, Patti, and son-in-law, Mike, in Martinez, Calif., for the past seven years. She loved her cats, doing crossword puzzles, watching TV, reading, traveling and Christmas time.

She never missed NASCAR racing and was Jeff Gordon's No. 1 fan. But, most of all, she loved her family. Her whole life she always put the needs of others ahead of her own. She is now dancing with the angels.

Marge was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Pat.

Survivors include: her seven children, Patti (Mike) Cadreau, Martinez, Calif., Terry (Roxanne) Tucker, Dickinson, N.D., Jacalyn (Barry) Robertson, Fertile, Minn., Timothy (Debbie) Tucker, Fargo, Thomas (Jean) Tucker, Casper, Wyo., Gregory (Carol) Tucker, Powell, Wyo., Kathleen (Jon) Johnson, San Bernadino, Calif.; 19 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Betty Tucker, Williamsfield, Ohio.
