Gwen Kappes and Rory Sobolik announce their engagement and forthcoming marriage.
Parents of the bride are Maurice and Margaret Kappes, Kent, Minn.
Parents of the groom are Ivan and Patricia Sobolik, Pisek, N.D.
Gwen is a 1997 graduate of Breckenridge High School and a 2002 graduate of North Dakota State University. She is currently employed with the Natural Resources Conservation Service as the Red River Resource Conservation & Development Coordinator in Grafton, N.D.
Rory is a 1993 graduate of Park River High School and a 1995 graduate of North Dakota State College of Science. He farms in rural Pisek.
A July 11, 2009, wedding is planned at Holy Family Catholic Church in Grand Forks, N.D.
