Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 3 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Breckenridge with the Rev. Kenneth Popp officiating. Music will be provided by pianist Austin Eggers and vocalist Keith Falken.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, July 2 followed by a prayer service at 7 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Breckenridge. Visitation will continue Friday one hour prior to the services at the church.

Pallbearers will be Chuck’s grandsons, Adam and Chris Martin, Rory Krimbill, Danny and Jeff Meyer, Hunter and Dylan Meyer, and Sam and Jack Meyer.
The Eggers Funeral Home in Rosholt, S.D., is in charge of the arrangements.
Charles Herbert Meyer was born July 23, 1936, in Summit Township, Richland County, N.D., to Herbert and Gertrude (Hingst) Meyer. He attended country school at Summit No. 2 through the fourth grade. The family moved to Center Township in 1946 and to Waldo Township in 1948. In 1952, they moved to Wahpeton, N.D., where Chuck attended high school. He joined the North Dakota National Guard in 1953. On Dec. 30, 1954, he enlisted in the U. S. Navy and served in Japan, Hong Kong and the Philippines. Chuck was honorably discharged Dec. 18, 1958. He drove truck from 1958 to 1969.
In 1969, Chuck married Carol Bucklin in Sisseton, S.D. He worked in a meat packing plant in Fargo from 1969 to 1973. In 1973, Chuck started his own elevator repair business. He retired in the fall of 2004.
Chuck enjoyed hunting, fishing, sports and going to the casino.
Survivors include: his wife, Carol Meyer of Breckenridge; six children, Dan Meyer of Wahpeton, Mike and Patty Meyer of Perham, Minn., Theresa Arend and friend Dale Pederson of Ashby, Minn., Donna and John Salvevold of Battle Lake, Minn., Dallas Meyer and friend Kristi Sande of Ottertail, Minn., and April Meyer of Breckenridge; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Pete and JoAnn Meyer of Perham, and Tom and Barb Meyer of Minneapolis, Minn.; and a sister, Corrine and Ronald Woolcott of St. Francis, Minn.
Chuck was preceded in death by: his parents; two grandsons, Ryan Meyer and Riley Salvevold; a daughter-in-law, Mary Meyer; six sisters, Angie Kalb, Helen Borg, Karen Hager, Diane Meyer, Sally Milbrandt and Mary Lou Meyer; and two brothers, Howard Meyer and Arvin Meyer.
