As you prepare to take the day off, fire up the grill and spend the day relaxing, I thought I'd let you know about a couple of big events that you won't want to miss.
First is the annual Twin Towns tradition of the Wahpeton-Breckenridge Legion baseball game Saturday.

It should be a good one and you know a lot of people will be there.
They come out to see the game, but also to see the fireworks show after the game.
The stands will be packed and the grounds will be filled with blankets and lawn chairs as people try to stake out the best spots to watch the show.
Make sure you get there early and cheer on the boys.
Also, earlier on Saturday, you can watch the Nathan's hot dog eating contest on television.
I can't believe that an event like this is considered a sporting event, but it's listed in the schedule and will be covered live on one of the sports cable channels.
I hate to admit it, but I have actually sat down and watched the contest in the past.
Thousands of people go to Brooklyn, N.Y., to watch it in person.
Last year's champion ate 59 hot dogs in 10 minutes.
So, enjoy the holiday.
And if you can stomach people gorging themselves and you're still hungry for hot dogs, let me know.
