United Blood Services wants to congratulate Corrine Kaiser for organizing the recent successful blood drive at Fairmount. A total of 39 people volunteered to donate and 29 were able to give. Three of the donors gave blood for their first time.

“Since the summer is traditionally a difficult time for blood centers, all the special people who provided the ‘gift of life’ as blood donors and volunteers are appreciated,” said Rob Miller, Sr. donor recruitment representative from United Blood Services. “All the people in Fairmount and the surrounding area should feel proud of their concern for patients who need blood.”

Others who assisted with the drive were KBMW Radio, the Daily News, and St. Ann’s Altar Society. Space to hold the drive was provided by the Fairmount Community Center.
