The Center for Nanoscience Technology at the North Dakota State College of Science will build upon current research and offer educational and training programs to support the growing nanotechnology industry in North Dakota. The Center will provide a bridge between the classroom and the industry setting, providing students with valuable skills, developing teaching methods to be used elsewhere, and educating workers for careers in nanotechnology in North Dakota.

“We have to have the research and skilled workers necessary to build up our cutting-edge technology industries. That is the goal of the Center for Nanoscience Technology Training at the North Dakota State College of Science,” said the delegation in a joint statement. “This center will help attract businesses to the state and give students career opportunities in an exciting field that is growing here in North Dakota. It helps keep our best and brightest here at home, and helps North Dakota schools become an example of teaching methods across the country.”
