Funeral service is Thursday, Aug. 13, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Fargo. Visitation is Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2009 from 5-8 p.m. at Hanson Runsvold Funeral home, Fargo, followed by a prayer service at 7 p.m.
Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Fargo.

In 1940, she graduated from grade school in Nansen Township School No. 2 and then went to Colfax High School for three years. Marjean graduated from Wahpeton High School in May 1944. While growing up she was active in the 4-H club. She went on to attend North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton for Business College and transferred to Interstate Business college of Fargo, N.D.
Marjean worked for DeLendrecies in Fargo as a bookkeeper, Northwest Telephone Company as a switchboard operator and Fargo Nursing Home as a nurse’s aide. She also worked for Gamma Phi Sorority House and McDonald’s part time.
Marjean met LeRoy R. Miller and was married Sept. 23, 1950 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church of Fargo. God blessed their marriage with six children.
Marjean was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church being involved with her circle and Bible study groups. She maintained being active with the church services at Bethany Homes during the last nine months of her life, even though her health was failing. Family, friends and church were always an important part of Marjean’s life. She was also a member of the VFW Auxiliary, Fargo branch.
Marjean is survived by: five children, Larry, Bloomington, Minn., Robert, Fargo, Richard (Sandy) Lauderdale, Minn., Linda (Jim) Lucke, Wolverton, Minn. and Steven (Karla), West Fargo, N.D.; 11 grandchildren, two step-grandchildren; four great grandchildren with another one due in September and one step-great-grandchild; a sister, Joyce (Alton) Leedahl, Benson, Minn.; two brothers, Loran (Mona) Hudson, Milnor, N.D. and Ray (Marlys) Hudson, Colfax, N.D.; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Fred and Marie; her husband, LeRoy; son, Scott; two sisters, Edna Hudson and Ruth Hahn and nephew, Russel Hahn.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the family and will be dispersed to Immanuel Lutheran Church, Hospice of the Red River Valley and Bethany Homes. Please feel free to sign the online guestbook at www.hansonrusnvold.com.
