Kenneth Pfeifle, 78, of Napoloen, N.D. died Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2009 in Napoleon.

The funeral for Kenneth Pfeifle will be Friday, Aug. 14, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. at the Napoleon Baptist Church, Napoleon.

Visitation will be Thursday, Aug. 13 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Napoleon.

Burial will be at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan, N.D.

Kenneth Pfeifle, son of Adam and Hazel (Spotts) Pfeifle was born June 29, 1931 at Jamestown, N.D. He received his education in a rural school east of Napoleon. He served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955. Kenneth married Iva Jean Stuckle on Aug. 19, 1951 at Streeter, N.D. Kenneth farmed all of his life. He also worked at Sigco Sun Products in Breckenridge, Minn. and drove semi for Rent-Ruan in Wahpeton.

Kenneth was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a very easy going person and loved everybody. He loved to talk to people and made friends wherever he was. Kenneth was a member of the Golden Age Club, the Napoleon American Legion and the Napoleon Wildlife Club. Kenneth was a trustee at the Napoleon Baptist Church and the longest living member of the church.

Kenneth is survived by: his loving wife, Iva, Napoleon; one son, Daniel (Paula) Pfeifle, Napoleon; two daughters, Vickie Reuer (Speed Schmidt), Bismarck, N.D.; Valerie (Noel) Hauschild, Breckenridge, Minn.; seven grandchildren, Barry Pfeifle, Lacey Johnsrud, Sara Reuer, DJ Reuer, Nicholas Hauschild, Dylan Hauschild and Taylor Hauschild; two great-grandchildren, Hanna Trottier and Kobe Trottier; one brother, Milo (Betty) Pfeifle, Washougal, Wash.; two nieces and two nephews, Alana Caceras, Janelle Brown, Scott Pfeifle and Michael Pfeifle, all from Washington. He was preceded in death by his parents, Adam and Hazel Pfeifle.

Dahlstrom Funeral Home of Napoleon is entrusted with arrangements.
