One Gamboa brother flunks drug test

FARGO, N.D. (AP) — One of three Fargo-area brothers convicted of running a violent multistate drug ring has tested positive for amphetamines while on supervised release.

Court documents say Edward Gamboa flunked a drug test last week, and also in March.

U.S. District Judge Ralph Erickson granted a probation officer’s request to put Gamboa in a drug treatment facility for up to six months.

Gamboa and two of his brothers ran a regional drug operation that authorities say sold about $18 million worth of methamphetamine.
