Schreiber-Beck receives ESGR award

Tri-State Aviation owner Cindy Schreiber-Beck was honored by the National Guard Reserve Wednesday with the Patriotic Employer Award for supporting an employee active in the military.

Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Representative Lane Wateland said Randy Carlson, Tri-State Aviation's metal forming specialist, nominated Schreiber-Beck in a narrative describing why she's "above and beyond the normal employer."

"Actually at the company, I think everyone here supports our military. We're proud of him," Schreiber-Beck said.

Carlson, a member of the 231st Battalion Support Bsb. out of Valley City, is now attached to Task Force Falcon for a mission in Kosovo.

Schreiber-Beck said he deployed with the largest ever group of Guard troops leaving North Dakota.

"It's nice to be a patriotic employer. It's an honor," Schreiber-Beck sad. "It's neat too because it comes back to what we do here in preserving World War II air craft."
