ND ag commissioner hospitalized
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — North Dakota Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring is undergoing tests at a Bismarck hospital.
A statement from the state Agriculture Department says Goehring was feeling tired and felt an unusual sensation in his hands and feet. The department said Goehring worried about a reoccurrence of Guillain-Barre syndrome, a paralyzing condition in which the body’s immune system attacks its peripheral nerves.
Agriculture officials said Goehring was diagnosed with the condition about 18 years ago.
The department says Goehring continues to work from the hospital.
