Joseph 'Joe' L. Dionne, 73

Joseph “Joe” L. Dionne, 73, Otter Tail Lake, Minn., formerly Wahpeton, N.D., died Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009, Golden Living Center, Otter Tail Lake.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Monday, Nov. 9, at the Vertin-Munson Funeral Home, Wahpeton, with visitation one hour before the service.

Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery, Wahpeton.

Joe was born June 4, 1936, at Belcourt, N.D., the son of Joseph and Winnifred (Primeau) Dionne. He grew up and attended grade school in Belcourt and high school at Marty, S.D.. Joe worked and lived in several areas, including, California, Chicago, Ill., and Devils Lake, N.D. He moved to Wahpeton were he became a resident at St. Catherine’s Living Center. In 2007 he entered the Golden Living Center, Otter Tail Lake.

Joe was an avid hunter and enjoyed taking his nieces fishing and teaching them how to play cards.

Joe is survived by: his brother, Art (Cindy) Dionne, Wahpeton; and his two sisters, Marie Houle, Wahpeton, and Loretta Walters, Apache Junction, Ariz.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; and three brothers, Raymond “Adrian”, Carl and Leo Dionne.
