This picture of the Last Man’s Club hangs in the Breckenridge VFW/American Legion building. It is a group of veterans from the area who survived World War II. It originally had 163 members. Only 19 of the men are still alive, several of which have left the area. Today, there were a few Veteran’s Day celebrations. Veteran’s Service Officer Ron Verhaagen demonstrated flag folding at Twin Town Villa at 2 p.m. Richland County also held a ceremony at its courthouse in Wahpeton at 11 a.m. Breckenridge Elementary-Middle School held a ceremony at 11 a.m. featuring some musical selections and Breckenridge Boy Scouts demonstrated flag etiquette and protocol. Circle of Nations School students sang at the Leach Home and St. Catherine's Living Center in Wahpeton.
