Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov.12 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Breckenridge, with the Rev. Kenneth Popp officiating.
Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11 at Joseph Vertin & Sons Funeral Home, Breckenridge.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Railroad Retirees.
Lloyd was born Aug. 16, 1926, in Fairmount, N.D., to Mads and Maren (Pedersen) Christensen. He attended school in Fairmount and graduated in 1944. He served in the U.S. Navy as a Sea Bee from 1944 to 1947. He then attended North Dakota State College of Science for electrical schooling and wired farms when electricity went through to farms.
He was united in marriage to Joyce Burvee on Nov. 10, 1952, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Fairmount. They made their home in Breckenridge and Lloyd began working for the railroad in 1951 and retired as a conductor in 1991.
Lloyd was a member of the American Legion and the Railroad Retirees. He enjoyed following all Breckenridge High School athletics even after his own children graduated. He was an avid golfer, hunter and fisherman. He loved cribbage, spending time in the lake country, and traveling, especially to visit his children and grandchildren.
Lloyd is survived by: his wife, Joyce Christensen, Breckenridge; his children, Michael (Robbin) Christensen, Memphis, Tenn., and their children, Andy and Sarah; Dean (Fran) Christensen, Colorado Springs, Colo., and their daughter, Kayla; Pam (Bob) LeNoue, Memphis, and their children, Sean and Rebecca; Neil (Sue) Christensen, Rio Rancho, N.M.; Lee (Jean) Christensen, Oregon, Wis., and their son, Josh; Amy (Bill) McKinney, Minneapolis, Minn., and their children, Ellie, Finn and Mette; his sister, Marion Moon, Cedar Falls, Iowa; his brother, Clarence (Donna) Christensen, Wahpeton, N.D.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Mads and Maren Christensen; his brother, Delmer Christensen; his sister-in-law, Evelyn Christensen; his brother-in-law, Gordon Moon.
