Mary Colleen Reinbold, 78, Wahpeton, N.D., died Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2009, at St. Francis Healthcare Campus, Breckenridge, Minn.

The funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 16 at St. John’s Catholic Church, Wahpeton, with a 10 a.m. Catholic Daughters Rosary. The Rev. Dale Lagodinski will be the celebrant.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 15 with a 6 p.m. prayer service at Vertin-Munson Funeral Home, Wahpeton, and one hour before the service at the church on Monday.

Burial will be at Fairview Memorial Gardens, Wahpeton.

Colleen “Coney” was born Jan. 2, 1931, at Neche, N.D., the daughter of Albert and Annetta M. (Doyle) Cook.She grew up in Neche until in grade school when she moved with her family to Grand Forks, N.D., where she graduated valedictorian from St. James Catholic High School in 1949. She continued her education by taking nursing at St. Joseph’s School of Nursing in Fargo, where she obtained her RN. She married John Reinbold at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Grand Forks on Dec. 29, 1954. They lived in Colorado Springs, Colo., and Virginia while John was in the service, returning to Grand Forks after John was discharged. They moved to Warren, Minn., in 1958 and to Wahpeton in 1969. They have continued to live in Wahpeton until recently moving to Twin Town Villa in Breckenridge, Minn.

Colleen was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church, Wahpeton, Catholic Daughters and the church circle. She enjoyed her Irish heritage, cats, reading, listening to all kinds of music and coffee with her friends. Her children and grandchildren were her special love.

Colleen is survived by: her husband, John, Breckenridge; her four children, Joel (Cathy) Reinbold, Forreston, Ill., Elizabeth “Beth” (Mike) Stewart, Hudson, Colo., Jeffrey Reinbold, Bismarck, N.D., Brenda (Dave) Clevenger, Loveland, Colo.; her grandchildren, Phillip, Daniel, Cameron, Bailey, Ryan and Molly; her sister, Margaret Gilmour, Fargo, N.D.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Vertin-Munson Funeral Home, Wahpeton.
