Football awards:
Cowboy football players David Bergquist and Dylan Summerville were named to the All-Section 6AA football team.
Summerville, Bergquist and Stephen Erlandson were also named to the All-Conference first team.
Joe Johnson, Joe Terfehr and Ethan Bontjes received Honorable Mention honors in the conference.
Other team awards included:
Team MVP: Summerville.
Most Valuable Offense and Most Valuable Back: Erlandson.
Most Valuable Offensive Line: Bontjes.
Most Valuable Defense: Bergquist.
Most Valuable Defensive Back and Most Valuable Special Teams: Johnson.
Most Valuable Defensive Line: Terfehr.
Cowboy Award: Walker Busse.
Cross country awards:
Head cross country coach Randy Berndt presented awards to his boys and girls runners.
For the boys team, Mark Niesche was named Rookie of the Year.
Girls awards were as follows:
Most Improved, Regan Whitney.
Most Inspirational, Blaire Lindberg.
Most Valuable Runner, Megan Hansen.
Also, Kacey Herder was recognized for logging more than 300 miles over the summer.
Herder has achieved this goal the last several years.
Her summer total in 2009 was 365 miles.
