Thank you for turning to the sports page for the following fashion update.

The Minnesota Twins unveiled new uniforms Monday in Minneapolis.

With the Twins moving to a new ballpark next year, someone decided the Twins needed a new look to go with their new home.

The Twins will wear new uniforms on opening day and during Saturday home games next year.

They look like the style of uniforms the Twins wore when they first moved to Minnesota in 1961.

These new 'throw-back' uniforms are off-white with pinstripes and a scripted 'Twins' on the front.

They won't look much different from the current Twins home uniforms, except the lettering will have a classic look and will also feature a 50th anniversary patch on the sleeve.

The new Twins road uniforms will be the ones that will take some getting used to.

They will be gray, with no pinstripes.

The Twins have worn pinstripes on their home and road uniforms since their last design change in 1987.

The road uniforms will also have a scripted 'Minnesota' on the front.

Currently there is a block-lettered 'Minnesota' on the front.

Every Major League Baseball team occasionally re-designs their uniforms in order to give the team a fresh look.

And as I mentioned earlier, the Twins haven't had different uniforms since 1987 when they did away with the light blue road uniforms with the red caps and batting helmets.

What were they thinking?

But even the most casual fan knows that the real reason the Twins changed their uniform styles.

It's to make sure they sell more clothing.

I mean, who would want to be seen at the ballpark in last year's fashions?

It's the kind of thing we might expect to see from Cleveland Indians fans, but not us.

We will have to go out and spend some money on the latest trend–the new uniform.

There's no point in going to see the Twins at Target Field next year if you haven't spent about 100 dollars on a new baseball jersey, right?

For me, I will buck the trend.

No new jersey for me.

I have enough baseball jerseys in my closet to outfit my own team.

The new Twins uniforms are nice.

They will give the team a different look.

But it's still going to be wins and losses that will lead the fans through the turnstiles.
