Cowboys take one title at HOL

Breckenridge sophomore Stephen Erlandson won the 160-pound championship Saturday at the Heart O' Lakes conference individual wrestling tournament in Breckenridge.

Erlandson won a 14-9 decision over Shawn Johnson from Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton (D-G-F).

Sophomore Greg Erlandson finished in second place at 189 pounds after losing a 5-3 decision in the championship to Kody LaFraniere-Sorenson from Frazee.

Frazee finished the tournament with 262 team points, to lead the eight-team tournament. Perham finished second with 227.5 team points and D-G-F was third with 177.5 points.

The Cowboys scored 105 team points, which was good for a fifth place finish in the team standings.

Breckenridge travels to Barnesville Friday for their next meet against Barnesville and Lake Park-Audubon.
