BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Fifty-seven high school students from across North Dakota are competing in the 13th annual LifeSmarts state finals.

The competition Wednesday is at the Heritage Center on the state Capitol grounds in Bismarck.

Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem says Lifesmarts tests students about personal finance, health and safety, the environment, technology, and consumer rights and responsibilities.

The students completed the initial rounds of the competition online, with the twelve teams scoring the highest making it to the state finals.

The North Dakota champions will move on to the national competition in late April in Miami Beach, Fla.
