I mean, what's the point?
The Vikings aren't in the game and I really don't have any loyalties to either team.

Billions of people around the world will be watching this game, even people in countries that think 'football' is played with a soccer ball and nets on both sides of the field.
I know that the Indianapolis Colts are favored to win the Super Bowl by about four points, according to the oddsmakers. They finished the regular season with a 14-2 record and won the American Football Conference (AFC) championship over the New York Jets.
The Saints finished the regular season with a 13-3 record. Even though they were completely outplayed in the National Football Conference championship game by a team that is still too painful to mention, the Saints will represent the NFC in the Super Bowl.
Other than that, I don't know a lot about either team. And since my playoff picks were not the best, I decided to punt on making a Super Bow prediction this year.
So I decided to get some expert advice from our local football coaches. Surely they will be able to shed some light on who will be the winner on Sunday.
Wahpeton Activities Director Mike McCall likes the Colts. Even though McCall resigned his duties as the head football coach of the Huskies in November, the 'old ball coach' decided not to refer the question to new Huskies head coach Brian Dokken.
"I think Peyton Manning will have a big day for the Colts," McCall told me. "I think the Colts will win."
Obviously McCall likes the Colts' quarterback’s chances of having an easy time picking apart the secondary of the team from "the big easy," and predicts a 31-21 Indianapolis win over New Orleans.
Now in the interest of being fair, I also checked with Breckenridge Cowboys head football coach Chad Fredericksen. "I really think Peyton Manning is going to have a great day against the New Orleans defense," Fredericksen said. "The fast pace of Manning's audible system and Indianapolis's no huddle offense will keep New Orleans' blitzing to a minimum."
Coach Fredericksen admits that he still may be a little bitter from the Saints' win over the Vikings when he makes the prediction of a 31-17 Colts victory.
Fredericksen may be a little bitter, but I am still quite bitter over the New Orleans win over Minnesota in the NFC championship game. But it is just a game. I'm doing much better now.
So with the two football coaches lending their opinions, I will make it a unanimous vote for the Colts. Right after the NFC championship game I was going to predict a 72-3 win for the Colts. But I've calmed down now, so a more realistic pick for me is Colts 35, Saints 16. Have fun watching the commercials.
One final note: Congratulations to Judy Rossman from Breckenridge. Judy was the January winner in the Daily News’ North Dakota State College of Science (NDSCS) trivia contest. Judy was drawn from among all of our correct trivia answers for the month and has won a ticket for the NDSCS raffle to be held Feb. 24 after the Wildcats’ games against Lake Region.
Keep looking for the trivia contest, sponsored by Scott’s Electric, in the Sunday edition of the Daily News. We’ll have one more raffle ticket to give away just before the Feb. 24 drawing.
