“It was a game where we had a lot of golden opportunities to make winning shots, but we just couldn’t seem to find the basket shooting 12 of 63 from the field. Right at the end we had opportunities to put the winning shot in to finish,” said Cowgirl head coach Sue Smith.
The Cowgirls were led by sophomore guard Amber Vold with 22. Junior forward Baylee Wilson followed with seven and senior forward Jordan Reiff and senior guard Kacey Herder had six points each. Sophomore forwards Chloe Bergmaan and Sierra Steckler both chipped in with two and sophomore guard Brooke Friederichs had one.The Cowgirls head to Glenwood, Minn. to take on Minnewaska Area on Monday at 7:30.

“It was nice having back-to-back games to blow off some steam from the Hawley game and we got contributions from all players in the win,” said Cowboy senior guard Joe Johnson.
The Cowboys were led by senior forwards Dylan Summerville and Joe Terfehr with 18 and 15 points, respectively.
Junior forward Nic Conzemius and senior forward Tyler Schriener followed with nine and eight points each.
Senior guard Walker Busse added six and senior guard Mason Gast, junior forward Chandler Holzbauer, and sophomore guard Casey Materi each had four points apiece.
Johnson and junior forward David Bergquist chipped in with two points each and DJ Bettin had one.
The Cowboys are at home Friday at 7:30 against conference foe West Central Area, Minn.
