In the men's game, the Wildcats overcame an early deficit to beat the Jimmies 82-62.
"Candra (Soderman) came in and gave us a good lift off the bench," Lady Wildcats coach Paulette Stein said. "Defense was the key for us. We forced 27 turnovers. And our shot selection was good."

Freshman forward Haley Hoyer, sophomore forward Ashley Holmstrom, freshman forward Brittany Olson, freshman guard Karis Phillips and Groen all scored in the opening run.
Later in the first half, Soderman, a freshman center, hit on consecutive trips down the floor and helped the Lady Wildcats open up a 10-point lead.
The Lady Jimmies came back and closed the gap to four points.
Near the end of the half, Groen and Hoyer scored as the Lady Wildcats went into the break, leading 33-25.
In the second half, Groen hit three 3-point shots as the Lady Wildcats maintained a 10-point lead.
But the Lady Jimmies came back and cut the NDSCS lead to one point with 9:45 left to play.
At that point, Phillips and Groen hit 3-point shots on consecutive trips down the floor to get the Lady Wildcats back up by seven points.
Former Wahpeton Huskies player, and Jamestown College freshman Taylor Albrecht played 18:31 for the Jimmies, scored three points and grabbed one rebound.
In the men's game, sophomore forward Aaron Morris paced the Wildcats with 16 points in their 82-62 win over the Jimmies.
"I think Jamestown did a good job of executing their offense and setting screens," Wildcats head coach Scott Schumacher said. “We do our best when we play off our post and I think we did that in the beginning of the game and in the second half."
Wildcats sophomore guard Steven Steward started the scoring when he hit two free throws. Sophomore forwards Terry Bembry and Aaron Morris also contributed as NDSCS built a 12-5 lead.
The Jimmies came back and took the lead at 16-15. Three consecutive 3-point shots pushed their lead to 22-15, before the Wildcats made their own run.
Freshman forward Kurtis Mickelson, sophomore forward Jamie Mauch and freshman guard Bryan Jacklitch all got points in the run. Sophomore guard Alan Bradford pushed the Wildcats' lead to 27-22 and the Wildcats led 36-32 at the break.
Jimmies freshmen Mike Kvidt, from Campbell, Minn., and Jacob Erbes, from Colfax, helped keep the Jimmies in the game.
Erbes finished the night with 19 points and two rebounds, while Kvidt had seven points and two rebounds.
In the second half, the Wildcats started strong. NDSCS opened the half on a 21-8 run to push their lead to 57-40.
Sophomore forward Larry Brown hit a 2-point shot and a 3-point shot on consecutive trips down the floor to help extend the NDSCS lead and the Wildcats cruised to the win.
NDSCS travels to Miles City, Mont., Saturday for their next games against Miles Community College.
