Parents and children alike can enjoy Max Bush's adaptation of "Treasure Island" and get swept away in some actual sword fights, which the cast has been perfecting for months. A ship built by most of the 20-member ensemble will also be onstage.
"The show has got a lot of surprises," said Tony Reinfeld, theater director. "They use real stage swords, too. You couldn't cut butter with these things, they just look really cool."

More than 1,500 kids will wander in and out of the auditorium throughout the show's run and most tend to bring their parents back for the evening.
"This is a great opportunity for parents and children to spend time outside of watching television and see something different," said Reinfeld. "In the spring, there's much more to do, but this time of year is really a crap shoot. It's an opportunity for them to experience another art form."
The hour-long event starts at 7:30 p.m each night at the Harry Stern and Ella Stern Cultural Center at NDSCS. A general admission fee will be taken at the door.
