A road project on North Dakota Highway 127 will involve minor delays for motorists for the next week and a half, according to Border States Paving, Inc. The entire project should be finished by Oct. 15.

Flaggers will be present at two to three points along the highway, and drivers should expect a five-minute or so wait time, said Kevin Marsh, project manager.

The contractor has scheduled a 2 1/2-mile long reclaiming project there to begin on Aug. 9, weather permitting. Traffic will be narrowed to one lane during the roughly one week project, said Marsh.

"Traffic will always be able to get through," he added.

Additional center-line culverts are currently being installed north of County Road 16 at Great Bend. Workers have already installed culverts at the south end of County Road 11 to 16, he said.

As the project's finish is scheduled into the sugar beet harvest - and the contractor is parking its equipment at the Tyler Beet Piler - Marsh said the pilers will use different locations.

"We'll probably have our stuff out of there by then," he said.
