The $8.4 million project, which began July 26, had been pushed off for nearly a month after the Minnesota Department of Transportation delayed awarding the project to Central Specialties Inc. of Alexandria, Minn. The project was funded by MnDOT.

Update:
• Sidewalks are being installed along 11th Street in Breckenridge and the project should finish soon. A dedication for the project, which continues beyond the Otter Tail River bridge, is being held Sept. 11 at 2 p.m. The ceremony will be held at the intersection of 11th Street and Minnesota Avenue. The project was first initiated two years ago by the Breckenridge Active Living Committee, which encourages residents to lead healthier lives.
