A passerby helped bring five youths involved in a single vehicle rollover to the hospital Friday evening.

The Richland County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a single vehicle rollover involving five occupants on 182nd Avenue SE, about four miles south of Wahpeton, at 9:50 p.m. Friday.

Robert Bladow, 18, Fargo, was southbound on 182nd Street in his 2005 Dodge Ram, along with four other passengers, Alyssa Kath, 19, Hankinson, N.D., Tommy Kath, 15, Hankinson, Cassandra Storo, 20, Dwight, and Taylor Kath, 19, Hankinson, when Bladow lost control of the pickup and entered the east ditch. The vehicle rolled end over end, coming to a rest on its right side.

The five occupants were picked up by a passerby and taken to St. Francis Healthcare Campus in Breckenridge, Minn., in a private vehicle, all with minor injuries. None of the occupants were wearing seat belts and none were ejected, according to a press release issued by the Richland County Sheriff’s Office. All five occupants were treated and released.

The pickup received approximately $7,000 in damages.

The accident remains under the investigation of the Richland County Sheriff’s Office.
