The Wahpeton girls swimming team took the pool Sunday for the Metro Invite in Fargo, again accumulating promising results despite some mid-season fatigue.

“As we are at the midpoint of our meets, the girls are tired and showing some wear,” Wahpeton coach Anne Retzlaff said.

Still there were tons of positives as Morgan Braun and Sydney Chase each set personal bests. Retzlaff said she is confident in her team getting even more personal bests and state qualifying times as the team nears the state event.

“I know that we still have the ability to post several personal best times in the remainder of the season and I am hoping that this next weekend we will be able to pick up a few more,” Retzlaff said.

The Huskies next swim on Saturday at the Fergus Falls, Minn., Invite.
