1. Forty-one percent of American adults, on average since 2017, consider themselves overweight. That’s according to the latest from Gallup. A majority, 53 percent, say their weight is about right. Five percent say they are underweight.
2. The average reported adult American weight between 2017-2021 was 181 pounds. Men’s reports, on average, totaled 199 pounds. Women’s reports, on average, totaled 163 pounds. Fifty-five percent of American adults said they have a desire to lose weight.
