If your child is a member of 4H, or if you know a youth who you would like to introduce to the wonderful world of the 4H Horse Project, this Sunday, May 19 will be your opportunity!

Rain or shine, a Spring Horse Workshop is being offered free for Wilkin County 4H youth enrolled members at Ricigliano Farms this Sunday at 1 p.m.  We have an indoor arena so weather is not an issue.

What if you haven’t had the chance to enroll your child in 4H? Don’t worry! If your child is not a current 4H youth member, you can enroll them for no cost this Sunday as you attend the Spring Horse Workshop at Ricigliano Farms. Children 18 and under are eligible to be members of Wilkin County 4H.

No need to bring your horses to this clinic, all horses will be provided. At this spring workshop the youth 4H members will learn about horse grooming, clipping, safety, arena etiquette and nutrition. They will also learn to prepare their horse and themselves for the upcoming show season. They will learn how to put on those finishing touches to make them show ring special!

Horses build self-confidence, teach responsibility, build social skills and keep you physically fit.  This class is a hands-on course held at Ricigliano Farms Riding Academy near Kent, Minnesota, approximately 12 miles north of Breckenridge.

Horses are undeniably one of the most noble creatures on earth. If you want to expand your child’s knowledge and understanding of horses or are considering owning a horse in the future, this 4H Spring clinic is for you and your child. Through the 4H Horse Project, it’s a great way to introduce your child to horses.

To reserve a space in the class, or to get directions, call Ricigliano Farms 218 557-8762.  Looking forward to seeing those Youth 4H Members this Sunday, May 19 at 1 p.m.

Happy Trails!
