TALE OF TWO DAYS.  Saturday will be the calm, mild, melting day of the week.  But light breezes will give way to a very gusty overnight as winds soar up over 50 mph.  We take a peak at your weekend weather and get you caught up on the ins-and-outs of wildlife management, the upcoming CTL season and a downward trajectory in the forecast as part of today’s Outdoors Roundup.

OUTDOORS ROUNDUP:

SURVEY SAYS!  In this week’s North Dakota Outdoors webcast, the NDG&F Dept. delves into the importance of hunter surveys and the information they convey to the agency to help with management goals.  So when you see that survey in the mailbox, you know not only how your responses impact next year’s hunting, but also the science behind it.

GET SET.  Registration for the North Dakota State High School Clay Target League’s (ND CTL) Spring 2020 season starts at the end of the month.  For those schools looking to start a team, there are many good resources at ndclaytarget.com covering all aspects of the program, from getting school approval to recruiting volunteers and participants.

SLIDE AHEAD?  Temperatures make a slow slide into the below-zero range by Thursday as a bit of a snow squall appears to be setting up for the back half of the week.  We’ll keep an eye out for any impacts on your fishing adventures in the coming days.
