WEDNESDAY WINDS.  We’ll see a shift in the wind as we catch the edge of a little snow system to the north of us, but amounts are not expected to be significant.  We cover the lifting of glasses, the picking up of garbage, and just a little postseason observation in today’s Outdoors Roundup.

OUTDOORS ROUNDUP:

CHEERS.  Pheasants Forever North Dakota is hosting its annual Cocktails for Conservation on Fri. Jan. 17 at the Ramada Inn in Bismarck.  Join the PFND Team and other sportsmen’s groups and agencies to discuss the current state of conservation, hunting and angling in the state and take home a commemorative glass.  Admission is $15 and details are up on the NDPF Facebook Page.

PICK IT UP.  The NDG&F Dept. reminds ice anglers to pack up garbage and debris before leaving the ice, including baitfish.  Not only is it unsightly, garbage also pollutes waters and may kill and injure fish or other wildlife.

END OF SEASON SIGHTINGS.  Did you ever notice how it seems deer, pheasants and other critters know it’s the end of the season?  Last night a nice whitetail buck and two does walked about 100 yards from the window at DEO headquarters – IN TOWN.  We’re not sayin’ they know…they just…know, y’know?  Happy offseason to you!
