Two teenagers received minor injuries in a one vehicle rollover Thursday, July 4.
The accident occurred 10 miles north of Breckenridge, Minnesota on Highway 9. The driver, a 17-year-old from Roseau, Minnesota, was not injured.
The driver swerved to miss a deer and overcorrected, according to the Wilkin County Sheriff’s Office. They lost control going into a ditch, where the vehicle rolled.
The passengers were a 16-year-old from Wahpeton and an 18-year-old from Breckenridge. Because of their youth, neither their names nor the driver’s name have been released.
The vehicle was considered totaled and towed from the scene. Its make was not identified.
Although Ambulance Service Inc. responded, the youth were taken to CHI St. Francis Health by private vehicle.
