Wyndmere, N.D., man airlifted after rollover crash, arrested on DUI

Garret Ponzer, 24, of Wyndmere, North Dakota, was airlifted to Sanford Hospital in Fargo, North Dakota, after a roll over crash and arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, according to a North Dakota Highway Patrol release.

The crash occurred Saturday, Sept. 25, approximately eight miles west of Milnor, North Dakota, in Sargent County.

Ponzer was traveling eastbound on 79th St. SE in rural Sargent County when he lost control of the vehicle and left the roadway and rolled.

Ponzer was not wearing his seatbelt and was ejected during the rollover. He was initially transferred by Lisbon Ambulance before being transferred to Sanford Air Med.

Ponzer was flown to Sanford Hospital for serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash is under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
