Whatever you do, don’t leave town May 31-June 2! The annual Blue Goose Days event will be even more grand in 2019 in conjunction with Wahpeton’s 150th Anniversary. You can expect this fun packed weekend to be spectacular!

Friday, May 31, the Dakota Avenue street dance hosts the fun dance band The Roosters! Featuring country/country rock/classic rock, they are sure to entertain you. All ages are welcome to come on out to Dakota Avenue, downtown Wahpeton, to stomp their feet, shake your tail feathers, and get your groove on! It’s always a highlight leading to the weekend activities and this year it is only the beginning to the music festivities.

After the many zoo and park activities on Saturday, you are invited to head on over to NDSCS Frank Vertin Field at 5:30 p.m. and experience this first ever three-band concert. “Summer Sizzle” features The Challengers, Billy D and the Crystals and Redline. This is a do not miss show!

“Blue Goose Days” was originally “Carousel Days” and through the years working with USFWS, the Chahinkapa Zoo partnered with their conservation activities creating a special weekend for zoo visitors. Partnerships with the Chamber of Commerce and city businesses and organizations has helped Blue Goose Days become a popular destination event for tourism!

So honk and sizzle May 31 – June 2 with Blue Goose Days and the spectacular Summer Sizzle!
