Huskies turn the page with recent results

Wahpeton broke through with its first win of the season Friday, May 12, in a 6-3 match at Fargo South. The Lady Huskies received singles wins by Elizabeth Comings (6-0, 6-0), Lily Anderson (6-1, 6-2) and Carmen Burvee (6-4, 7-6), while sweeping the doubles action behind the pairings of Comings/Brenna Erdmann (6-4, 6-2), Lacina/Anderson (6-1, 6-3) and Burvee/Julya Seibold (6-0, 6-2).

Wahpeton returned to the court Tuesday, May 16, with a road match at Grand Forks Central. Comings once again held her own in a 7-2 loss to the Lady Knights. The decorated senior battled her way past Madi Stauss to win her No. 1 singles match by scores of 6-4 and 6-4. Comings then teamed up with Erdmann, as the pair defeated Stauss and Magdalene Spicer by scores of 6-3 and 6-3.
