Storm makes ripples in third-place finish

On Tuesday, Sept. 28, the Breckenridge-Wahpeton Storm swimmers traveled to the Hulbert Aquatic Center for a dual meet against West Fargo Sheyenne. The team had a fantastic meet! The pool had an issue with its timing system, but the girls took that in stride and still swam well. Sydni Roberts qualified for state in both the 100 freestyle and the 100 breaststroke. Popi Miranowski and Alaina LaJesse both swam a season-best time in the 100 backstroke. In the 200 freestyle relay, Roberts, Elli Hendrickson, Maddy Beyer and Lily Miranowski swam a season-best 1:59.89. Each of the girls swam a fantastic 50 freestyle to work together and finish third overall. Our next meet is Friday, Oct. 1 at West Fargo Sheyenne for the Pentathlon meet.
