Woods and Manock win multiple EDC titles

Wahpeton sophomore Scout Woods took first place in both the shot put (39’8.5”) and the discus (126’02”) Friday, May 19, at Fargo South, to become an Eastern Dakota Conference Double Champion. Woods, a candidate for Spring Sports Female Athlete of the Year, has 13 combined wins between the shot put and discus ahead of the NDHSAA Track & Field State Meet, held May 25-27 in Bismarck. 

Wahpeton senior Ethan Manock topped the Eastern Dakota Conference discus standings with a throw of 167’08”, breaking his own Wahpeton High School record in the process. Manock placed ninth in the long jump (20’4.25”) to pace the Huskie boys.
